Sunday, 6/24/18: Virginia Beach, VA 3:30 pm. VB Funny Bone Opening for the Queer Queens of Qomedy. This is gonna be a blast, people... I can hardly wait! From Showtime’s’ Pride the Gay and Lesbian Comedy Slam, Poppy Champlin has been knocking ‘em out with the funny for 25 years. Also headlining this tour is LGBTQ comedy favorite Vickie Shaw. Vickie is from Texas where she observes that, “The speed limit, is a suggestion.” A veteran comic who’s beautiful Southern style belies her sharp edged wit and hilarity, was part of Comedy Central’s flagship show Premium Blend and she has a one-hour comedy special on LOGO called “You Can Take The Girl Out of Texas.” Vickie is a regular on Olivia cruises as well as performing in P-Town. She is a mother and grandmother and says she “just happens to be a lesbian”. The third Queen to rule this stage is Jess Miller. Her Comedy style is infectious immediately. Jess placed in the top three of The Devil Cup Comedy Festival in NYC in 2016. She performs throughout New England in such venues as Foxwoods, The Comedy Connection and Caroline’s in New York City. Tickets are $25 for General admission and $40 for VIP, which includes preferred seating, and a meet and greet with the comedians before the show. Showtime 3:30 PM. VB Funny Bone is located at 217 Central Park Avenue, VB, 23462.
